Now, Steve can finally be with Fiona…or so he thinks. With Debbie worried that depression might be genetic, Frank realizes it may be time for Monica to get back on her meds, so he steals some lithium from Sheila. Things are finally looking up as the family gathers for Thanksgiving dinner… that is, until Monica slits her wrists.

And as Fiona awaits her GED results, Ian runs into Ned (guest star HARRY HAMLIN) again, Debbie tries to help Frank with Monica, and Eddie's long-awaited insurance check arrives…
